Refrigerator Repair

Sealed-system, control and airflow diagnostics for built-in and integrated Sub-Zero refrigerators.

What we get called for

  • Milk is spoiling early even though the display still reads 38°F
  • The unit runs non-stop and the kitchen floor in front of it feels warm
  • Condensation beading along the inside of the door frame
  • Butter shelf is soft while the back of the shelf is freezing lettuce

How the visit runs

  1. Readings before opinions

Compartment temperatures, evaporator airflow, defrost circuit and door seals, all measured before anyone offers a theory. On a sealed-system symptom the unit goes on gauges.

  2. A cause, and a number

You get the actual fault named, what it costs to put right in parts and labour, and an honest read on whether it is worth doing. Nothing is ordered or opened up before you agree.

  3. Repaired and proved

The unit is run back down to spec and the readings are shown to you before we leave. Cabinetry and panels go back exactly as they came out.

In their words

Bellevue kitchens, in the owners’ words

  • Integrated column with an inch of clearance either side. It came out and went back in with the millwork untouched. A fan motor, not the compressor another company quoted.

  • West-facing kitchen, and the cabinet had struggled every afternoon for a year. The condenser was packed solid behind the lower vent and one door gasket had gone slack. Both dealt with in one visit.

  • I wanted an honest answer on whether a 1998 built-in was worth keeping, and I got one. We repaired it. Two years later it holds temperature better than the newer unit in our rental.
