What we get called for

  • Bin stopped filling about a week after the water filter was changed
  • Cubes are fusing into one solid slab in the bin
  • A thin puddle of water keeps appearing under the ice maker drawer
  • The ice smells and tastes of whatever else is in the freezer

How the visit runs

  1. Readings before opinions

Compartment temperatures, evaporator airflow, defrost circuit and door seals, all measured before anyone offers a theory. On a sealed-system symptom the unit goes on gauges.

  2. A cause, and a number

You get the actual fault named, what it costs to put right in parts and labour, and an honest read on whether it is worth doing. Nothing is ordered or opened up before you agree.

  3. Repaired and proved

The unit is run back down to spec and the readings are shown to you before we leave. Cabinetry and panels go back exactly as they came out.

In their words

Bellevue kitchens, in the owners’ words

  • A puddle under the drawer that kept coming back. The drain hose had been kinked behind the cabinet by whoever installed it. Rerouted, and the leak stopped. Four stars because I chased the confirmation myself.

  • Undercounter ice maker leaking into the cabinet base. It was a blocked drain line, not the unit itself. Cleared in half an hour, and charged for the service call only.

  • The bin filled halfway then stopped, every time, and two other companies had shrugged at it. He put a gauge on the water line, found the inlet screen half blocked and pressure marginal, and fixed both.
